Job Description
A. Safety Management
- Implement and monitor workplace safety policies and procedures
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits
- Ensure proper use of PPE by all employees
- Identify hazards and conduct Risk Assessment (HIRA)
- Organize mock drills (Fire, Chemical Spillage, Emergency Evacuation)
B. Compliance & Legal
- Ensure compliance with:
- Factories Act
- Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB) norms
- Fire Safety regulations
- Maintain all statutory records & registers
- Coordinate with government authorities during inspections
C. Environment Management
- Monitor waste disposal (Hazardous & Non-Hazardous)
- Control air, water, and noise pollution levels
- Ensure proper chemical storage and handling (fragrance oils, solvents)
- Implement ISO 14001 environmental practices
D. Health Management
- Arrange periodic medical check-ups for employees
- Monitor occupational health hazards
- Maintain first aid systems and emergency preparedness
E. Training & Awareness
- Conduct EHS training programs for workers & staff
- Induction training for new employees
- Toolbox talks and safety awareness sessions
F. Incident Management
- Investigate accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions
- Prepare root cause analysis (RCA)
- Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
G. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain EHS records, reports, and MIS
- Prepare monthly EHS reports
- Maintain SOPs, MSDS, permits, and safety documentation
